The Highlander Compact Gas Heater incorporates a range of safety features, making it one of the most advanced heaters of this type on the market. The Tilt Switch cuts off the gas immediately if the heater is knocked over. The Ultra-Pressure sensor will close the valve if the gas cartridge becomes overheated or over-pressurised, and the Oxygen Depletion Sensor will activate if the level of oxygen in the air falls below safe levels. Very important when used in enclosed areas.
This heater uses the Highlander‚ 227g (GAS002) cartridge but is also fully compatible with other brands of cartridge gas of this design, which are widely available. With a full gas cartridge, it will supply roughly 2 hours of continuous heat at optimal use (145g per hour for gas consumption).
The gas cartridge is easy and quick to install, and the self-igniter and control wheel make lighting and managing the device very simple. Comprehensive instructions are included. The Compact Gas Heater is also very compact and lightweight, so it is ideal for use both at home and on your adventures.
