The Makalu jacket utilises the GORE-TEX ePE membrane, a breakthrough in waterproof and breathable membrane technology with a reduced carbon footprint and is free from fluorocarbon (FC-free) construction.
The Makalu jacket is a reliable shelter in harsh weather conditions, including heavy rain, driving snow, and strong winds. It is made with a robust 75 Denier face fabric, perfect for hill walking and mountaineering in all four seasons.
The jacket's streamlined Alpine fit allows for extra layers in winter while avoiding excess fabric flapping during windy conditions. Additionally, the well-proven Mountain HC Hood is easily adjustable to protect against the worst conditions, and it can even accommodate a climbing helmet for steeper terrain.
